Hot 8 Brass Band performs September 5

New Orleans' own Hot 8 Brass Band visits Richmond for concerts on and off campus as well as a discussion about Hurricane Katrina. On September 5, Hot 8 will offer a free lunchtime concert at the University of Richmond's Lower Forum from 11:45 am-12:45 pm. That evening, they visit First Fridays Art Walk for performances at various locations in Downtown Richmond between 7-10 pm. Hot 8 appears in conjunction with a film screening of Spike Lee's award-winning documentary, When the Levees Broke, which will be screened September 3 (7:30 pm) and September 4 (8 pm) in the Alice Jepson Theatre. Members of Hot 8 will participate in a Q&A on September 4.
